I have a collapsible block and inside I have a checkbox group. I also have a collection ‘Category’ with two columns ‘Category’ and ‘SubCategory’.

Entertainment Movies
Entertainment TV
Cars Classic
Cars First Time Owner
Cars Repairs
Education College
Education High School

Frist, Try with a standard newly created list service and these mappings:

Response

$[] to CategoryCollapseBlock
Category to CategoryCollapseBlockText
SubCategory to SubCategoryCheckBoxText

I get this:
Entertainment
Movies
Entertainment
TV
Cars
Classic
Cars
First Time Owner
Cars
Repairs

So I have setup my list service to distinct on Category
Method: POST
{database_url}/collections/Category/distinct/Category
And I get this with the exact same mappings
undefined
undefined
undefined
undefined
undefined
undefined
undefined
undefined

What am I missing? I have been reading the questions and answers posted, but can’t figure it out
Also, later I will want to submit the selected values back to a different collections in my database.

Did you add response parameters manually?

I thought that just having a mapping is data get binded, at least that has been my experience for everything else I have done. But since my answer is no, that might be he problem. How do I add response parameters?

You don't need add response parameters. Could you also attach screenshot from the service settings tab?

Nothing special except I changed method to post and added '/distinct/Category'

A lightbulb just came on above my head. What I have been trying to do is not a good solution for what I need and it is way more complicated. I'm going to take a different approach, you can kill this question. Thanks for your effort, I learned a great deal banging my head against this, but I am moving on.
