I want to allow users to respond to push notifications from the lockscreen of their phone, when they receive a push notification. Please outline the steps necessary to do so

How do I create functionality surrounding the push notifications to customize by different messages and times for push notifications to be sent?
I'm afraid there is no such way for customization in a hybrid app, only in native development environment.
Is there a way to redirect a user based on the content of the push?
i.e., the push notification will automatically open the user to the main page of the app, but can I create a 'onLoad' javascript page that redirects to a certain page based on the push notification information?
If so, could you provide an example of how to get that data?
