Hello!

I am attempting to follow the Appery.io tutorial "Sending Push Notifications to a device". However, it appears to be quite lacking in information, and as a result, I'm stuck. You might want to fix that! =)

The tutorial asks us to make a main screen for both Initializing and Registering the Push stuff... and then ultimately displaying a message. Unfortunately, I'm getting stuck at the registration.

Following the tutorial exactly, I am getting a "FAIL" message when testing this using the Appery.io testing app on my Android device. The tutorial does not explain what this actually means, nor does it explain how to fix it.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Do you test it on device as native? You need to install app to test.

I don't believe I do. I just use the Appery testing app!

How would I go about doing that? Is there a way to do that besides going through the whole Google/iOS store process?

Hello! You don't need to go to Google/iOS stores, you just need to export app you build with Appery.io, install on device and test this native functionality. Here is how to export app http://docs.appery.io/documentation/e.... Please try and let us know about result.

So... I exported the app as a .apk file, installed it onto my Android (Jelly Bean) and ran it. None of the values updated (I didn't even get a FAIL) and then the app went black, and crashed. This does not occur when I'm running the app via the Appery.io testing app.

I suspect something's wrong. Any idea where I should look?

Hi, did you change any permission in App Settings--Android Permissions tab?

Please also check Min. SDK version on Android binary tab. What Android version on your device?

The minimum SDK version is 2.2.x on the app.
My Galaxy S4 is running 4.2.2.
