With the release of Android 8 and 9, the OS restricts Background Mode Apps. There are however Cordova Plugins that act as a work around, however Appery is way behind on their implementation of Cordova. Due to this lag in keeping up with technology, it renders certain apps useless when running on Android 8 and higher.
What is Appery going to do about this?

We will update Cordova platforms versions for Android and iOS in our upcoming Appery.io platform release. The new Cordova platforms updates were introduced in February, and we are in the testing process of these new versions with our builder at the moment.
