I somehow created a malformed local variable while creating a login service, and couldnt delete it. I tried to delete the service, now the editor just hangs when I try to load the page to create the service again.

I can recommend that you should try clear browser cache, relogin the builder and try again.

What browser do you use? Did you try in any other?
doesnt delete in chrome or firefox (latest build) is there a way to delete it from the source code?

Please share your app with a href="mailto:support@appery.io" rel="nofollow"support@appery.io/a , tell its name and variable you want to be deleted.
the variable is called {"Assign{"...something - there are only three, and the other two look normal. should be easy to find
its under the login page mapping: login service
