When I open a popup, is there any way to blur or fade the background?

I looked at the doc, not sure if understand completely.

Are you suggesting that I need to make a new theme, which I select as the Overlay theme or are you suggesting that I should simply switch off the button next to the pull down menu.

You don't need to create another theme, just pick up from the list for pop-up 'Overlay' property with 'on' toggler.

Sorry, now I am really confused. I just want to blur the background. How do I do it ?

1) Open page with popup
2) Change 'Overlay Theme' property to any value except 'Inherit' for popup component. Your background will change it's state immediately to show you how it will look upon using.

There is no "Inherit" value for 'Overlay Theme'. There is A,B,C,D and transparent.

Hi guys,
I observed that the background overlay is unchanged (when Transparent is selected) or simply fade off with the same opacity irrespective of what overlay-theme is selected. Is it possible to achieve different overlay effect by applying some css. Please help. I am using the standard flat-ui theme if that matters.
