Model updates taking several minutes for EACH edit

Greetings,

I am in the process of updating a large number of column types in several storage models. Each individual column edit, for example changing a string to a boolean, takes OVER two minutes and the browser times out repeatedly.

Needless to say the model editing process extremely slow, time consuming and exceedingly frustrating.

Is there a faster way to edit model column types? I don't want to spend hours making edits that should be accomplished in 20 minutes.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the update.

I assume the issue is common to all Appery users, as I have the same problem from several different computers and broadband accounts.

Hopefully there is a faster way to accomplish these types of edits.

Sorry for the delay.

I changed a model item from a number to a string today. The change took almost 4 minutes to complete and Chrome timed out 7 times before the change was registered.

It has always been like this, regardless of my location or OS.

This issue makes the required updates to my app almost impossible. I need to update and revise several models with dozens of items.

Try stopping for 4 minutes every time you need to update a model.

What OS and browser version do you use?

As stated in my previous response, I have the same issue from multiple computers at different locations. I used a mac running safari today and changing a model variable type took over 3.5 minutes. I get the same results with Win 7 / Chrome and XP / Chrome. I have a substantial number of changes to make which now appear, by all practical purposes, next to impossible to effect in a reasonable time frame.

I just created a model with 5 items that had to be changed from strings to numbers. The entire process took OVER 25 minutes.
