I have copied your tutorial project for sending push notifications and installed the apk to my phone. When I run the app I get initialise - done and register - success but I do not receive any notifications. Do I need to do anything else?

Please ensure you send notification to the correct channel. Also do you pesify DeviceID or send pushes to all devices?

Probably not related but I have noticed that the Sender Id and API key keep disappearing from the App Settings form. Presumably if I get registration success these parameters must be present in the app even if they don't display.

Did you follow all steps listed here http://docs.appery.io/tutorials/sendi... (more particular did you enable Google Cloud Messaging for Android)?
By the way what device and version you use to test?

Yes I followed the steps and I did enable GCM. I only did this a few hours ago, does it take Google time to activate the facility?
I am using an oldish Samsung Galaxy running FROYO.BUJS3
