Launch screens gone after updating library

Hi, I recently updated my library to version 3.0. I had all the different size launch screens for iOS uploaded and set already and they were appearing when I downloaded the .ipa file onto my phone to test. However, Since updating to 3.0 they are no longer appearing and the Appery.io launch screen shows instead. The images are all still uploaded and set in the App Settings. Any ideas why they aren't appearing anymore and how to fix? Thanks.

known issue with the Version 3.0 libraries - search the forum here for 'splash Screen' or 'splashscreen'.

The workaround until fixed - is for the 2 splash screens that do not work - the default and one other - you need to go to xCode - view the assets - splashscreen - delete the appery versions - and then replace with a splash that has the same size as the one you deleted. You can't do this in the builder - as the builder prevents you from deleting the assets with ~ in their name,

If you don't feel like you have the expertise to do that - I'll can offer a hand via a webex or skype meeting - and show you what needs to be done if the need is pressing.

Best,

Bruce

Hi Bruce, thanks for the response. Is there ay other way to get around this without using xCode? I don't have access to xCode and I'm trying to get the app released by the end of the day.

Hi Matt,

I've tried to do it without Xcode ... No way I've found... Sorry.

Xcode access ... MacinCloud.com

Okey it seems that there's no answer for this since i saw another post open with the same issue and unsolved. Just to clarifiy, Appery.io platform is not writting the files names for splash in iOS. It seems to be happen if someone uses the libraries version 3.
Have spent serveral hours since it looks that's there's no way to fix this rather than downloading the xcode project and compile it local (But... Appery.io is designed and marketed as ALL IN CLOUD, SO IF AT THE END i need to open xcode... uhmmm)

But as i mentioned before, i dont want to waist time replying "What do you mean with xxxx" That routine doesn't work for me.

So if there's no answer we can leave it like this. Maybe alowing rename of files could solve this but... in an directory of assets ONE CAN'T USE apple naming conventions without seeing error of characters not allowed.

By the end. Solve this using XCode, Sad but true

It seems EVERYBODY RECEIVES THE SAME ANSWER FROM THE APPERY.IO TEAM , Have you modified the source code? Why?..etc..

I Started a BRAND NEW PROJECT AN GUESS WHAT ALWAYS APPERY.IO SPLASH NO MATTER WHAT.
