Pushing Updates without warning

You are currently pushing updates. There was no warning. You killed my session. I am actually at a customer at the moment working on changes for them.

Why has there no prior warning been given?

Totally unacceptable!

How long is this gonna take?

My client is looking at me like I am an idiot.

We are really sorry you have got into troubles but it was an emergency maintenance and could not be announced well in advance.

Could you not have done it the same way you do all maintenance. Enable the timer? Just to give warning at least?

Auto Updates dont work now. I just get a version that was most probaly valid 10 versions ago

Deon,

The timer was enabled but not so well before this maintenance as it is usually the case with our scheduled maintenances (warning about the event before several days).
As for the auto-updating - we would need more details to troubleshoot. Could you please provide some?
