Stripe Payment using Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
Hi,
I followed the tutorial at https://docs.appery.io/docs/samples-stripe-payment-app and got it working beautifully.
I tested out a payment and it worked and showed up....all good.
I then received an email from STRIPE which said the following:
Thank you for choosing Stripe! We’re writing because we’ve noticed your account is affected by a regulatory requirement called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA). SCA requires two-factor authentication on many payments in Europe. Payments that are not authenticated are at risk of being declined by your customers’ banks.
Your account (acct_ACCIDNO_REMOVED) has payments (like this one) in test mode using the Charges API, which does not support the authentication requirements of SCA. We recommend using one of our SCA-ready integration paths to avoid more declined European payments.
I've looked through the stripe documentation and it looks like I need to use the latest API with PaymentIntents. Do you have an updated tutorial that uses this rather than the outdated Charges API that the tutorial guides me through.
I'm using this in a JQM App. Any advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Simon
