Link between array and select item lost when saving

I am populating a select-box from an array received from a rest-service. In the data-mapping tab I have connected the array to the selectmenuitem, one property of the array element to the name of the selectmenuitem and another property to the value of the selectmenuitem. When I switch my tab from data mapping to design and back, the link between the array and the selectmenuitem is lost. The links between the properties are kept. The lost link is marked in the uploaded image.
