Hi,
At the moment, the auto-update function is great for development, but the user experience sucks - the screen goes black, with not even a spinning "loading" icon for the user to know that something is happening.

Is it feasible to offer the option to do this in two stages?

1) check if there is a new version available?
2) install the update

and then to allow developers to do the following:

1. Check for new update

2. If an update is available, inform the user

3. Allow the user to press a button to update

4. Show the user a message to say "the screen will go black"

5. User presses "continue"

6. Install the update.
