IOS Build fails after Upgrade from 2.1 to 2.3 libraries

I've upgrade the libraries in one of my apps - from 2.1 to 2.3 and I get this error when I export to xcode and then compile:

"the file "Localizable.strings" couldn't be opened because there is no such file "

I have done some tweaking to some of my source files as I have implemented a geo-plugin for IOS in my source.

Which file do I need to let Appery re-generate (and then copy back in my changes) in order for my compile to proceed?

Please let me know.... I can also grant access to my application if need be.

Bruce

Hello Bruce,

Could you please clarify what version of xCode you are using?

Hi Bruce --

This file exists in your Source folder in Appery.io? You can try making "Undo source changes" for this particular file or for entire project in the Source tab.

Illya,

I think you missed the point. Here's the issue

My project under libraries 2.1 - which has a number of changes to the ios source - because I have implemented the Christocracy GEO plugin .... (However none of the css, html, etc..... only what's required to implement this plugin) complies fine under IOS and in xCode.

With NO CHANGES to the code in the project whatsoever, I changed the libraries to 2.3 - export and go to xCode (again no changes in xCode - just using it as a vehicle to manage my builds, and to bump the build number, and turn on background GEO Location)..... it dies with the error above.

So - simply stated - changing the libraries number introduced this error.

  1. Have you guys seen this error before?

  2. Any chance you could look at my project and see where this file reference exist

The file localizable.strings - does not exist in my source.

    Best,

    Bruce

Illya and All,

I'd like to see you would consider escalating this a bit ? I just found out that once you convert to 2.3 libraries - you can't go back? so for example if I take the backup that I did previous to converting - (the Version I created on the menu page) and restore it - it DOES NOT restore my app to the previous version of the libraries (why NOT would be an excellent question to ask) which is where they were set when I did the backup.

So - I now have an app - that is broken - and I can't compile because (a) I can't go back and (b) when I do revert code - the libraries 'stick' and I'm stuck with the compiler error.

Please help !!!

Best,

Bruce

Let's cancel the questions on this post - since you have done some wonderful work with the plugIn's feature - I'm going to be one of the first to use it - and attempt to use the Geolocation plugin by importing into Appery.

I've done that - and will post questions on another thread.
