While generating a certificate with the appery.io console or importing a custom one, I use $ sign inside certificate password for increase the security.

This generate a compile error while exporting the application as apk.
I try to make the same steps but with a password without the $ sign and the compiling worked as aspected.

I write this post for other people that get the error:

"App signing error has occurred. Please check your key/certificate alias and passwords"

while compiling and for the appery.io team for fix the issue!

Perhaps this error happen also with other special chars and not only with $ sign.

I don't know if this is a random issue or others can reproduce the error but it worth the effort to give a try!

We are able to generate a certificate in Account tab with password codepassword$_123/code and sucessfully build *.apk file. Could you please try following these steps?

I have tried the password you sent me and it compile successfully the apk but, for example, with this password:

hia$$o

I get the error.

Could you please try the password hia$$o and give me feedback?

Perhaps it's randomic or it's due to the double dollar.

Is this problem still reproducible? If so, please post your app GUID so we can check logs.

Im having this same problem. With a new app, I can't make an APK now. What am I doing wrong. That refresh button or select certificate is disabled UGH UGH

Check that you Dont have in your Project libraries like underscore since they aré already included in the framework
