Could Appery use Appcelerator Titanium to build its apps?

So wish Appery used Appcelerator to build the apps it generates. Appery seems like an excellent, flexible, productive design environment and has so many similarities to Appcelerator it seems tantalizingly close!

Appcelerator uses HTML & CSS to define its UI, so does Appery.
Appcelerator is JavaScript based, so is Appery.
Appcelerator is open source so Appery could leverage its abilities.
Appcelerator offers hundreds of API calls & native UI controls.

Not to take anything away from Appery - it's awesome. Just that it would be great to be able to use native UI controls and other benefits of native apps rather than the "hybrid" approach of Phonegap (Cordova).

Thank you for the feedback and this interesting idea. We are considering additional UI options such as Bootstrap, we will add Titanium to the list. First, we want to get jQuery Mobile/PhoneGap really good. We also have a Windows 8 app project.

Hi Max,

Certainly Appcelerator is great from the point of view of being able to access native UI controls on iPhone, Android etc. but more than that it would be fantastic to see Appery use Titanium to actually actually build native code (rather than running in Cordova), even aside from the UI benefits.

Anyway glad to hear Appery is open to ideas!

Regards,

Steve
