Pop-ups are broken when deployed to Apple device

Hello,
I am having problems with pop-ups when I deploy my app to Apple's TestFlight.

In Appery, I have all my pop-ups set to Event "Click", Action "Open popup" and it works just fine in the Appery tester, but once it's deployed to an iPhone using TestFlight, users have to click the button TWICE to get the pop-ups to open. The first time they click the button, the pop-up just flashes open really quick and then closes. The second time they click the button, the pop-up actually opens and stays open.

However there is a second problem. When users click the Close buttons on my pop-ups, I have them set to Event "Click", Action "Close popup", and it works just fine in the Appery tester, but in TestFlight the app is navigating back to the previous page which is a very frustrating user experience!

We were all set to launch our beta testing with end users today but this bug is making us put on the brakes.

It must be some problem with how you are generating the Apple code or something when the xcode project is built.

Your help would be much appreciated, we are ready to launch our beta testing and this is completely stopping us because the pop-ups are a big part of the app.

Thanks,
Josh Image

Hi Josh -

Could you please check this without TestFlight on a device, as an exported binary package? Would such behavior persists?

Illya,
Thank you for the reply.

I exported this as a binary package and opened it on the device and the problem still persisted.

However, this device is running iOS 9, and I tested the app through TestFlight on another device that was still running iOS 8 and the problem did not exist.

The problem appears to be with how the new iOS 9 is handling the code generated by Appery.io when exporting. Do you need any other information? How long will this take to fix?

Thanks for the help,
Josh

Josh -

We are currently investigating the cases involving iOS9.

Could you please share your project with us and specify its name? (follow the instructions here: https://devcenter.appery.io/documenta...) And describe detailed steps how to reproduce it in your app.

We will pass it to our development team for investigation.

Okay, I have set "Share with support" to "On".

The project name is "Sideline Help BETA".

Here are the steps to reproduce the bug:
-Open the app
-Accept the disclaimer
-Select "Common Injury Evaluation Skills"
-Select the (i) icon next to "Agitation"
-You will see a pop-up flash open and then disappear
-Select the (i) icon next to "Agitation" again
-You will see the pop-up open and stay open
-Select the "OK" button on the pop-up
-You will see that it navigates to the previous page (main menu in this case) when it should just close and display the "Common Injury Evaluation Skills" page

Yes, this is also happening to my app as well on ios9. Exactly as described above. Popups don't come up until you select the action to pop it up a 2nd time.
When the popup closes it navigates to a prior screen rather than simply closing the popup.

I definitely see this issue anytime I invoke the popup from a List.

We have close to 500 users that have upgraded to ios9 and now their app is very broken.

Illya,
Are there any updates on this? Has the development team identified the root cause?
Thanks,
Josh

I am having the same issue, fielding emails from people with broken apps all day! Is there any fix as of yet?

Hello!

Unfortunately we're still investigating it and officially don't support iOS 9. We'll post an update in our blog, twitter, facebook, forum, etc. when we start to support iOS 9.

Hello Evgene,
Is there an update on this? When will iOS 9 be supported? I still haven't heard anything on the blog.
Thanks,
Josh
