I have some reports and reviews saying that my app is very unstable. Till today the reports are from Android versions 4.0.x
User's phone becomes unstable after install.
User can't uninstall app, nor other apps.
Is this a common issue with Appery.io builds? How can it be fixed?
This is not an issue with Appery.io build. The binary file that you get is no different if you were using another build tool. We need more information as to what exactly is not working, what Android versions, etc. I have never heard that one app would prevent other apps from being uninstalled.
I never heard of this issue either.

I know that starting with some 4.x version, you can select an app and drag it towards the top of the screen (towards where the notification bar opens up). An option will appear to remove the app. Can you try that?
According to the reports, this will not work. I don't have an android phone my possession with version 4.0.x to test.
Here I quote the feedback:
*Samsung s3, android 4.0.4. If I open any application that uninstalls apps, it crashes as soon as the app appears on my screen. I even downloaded a root uninstaller, same thing. Crashes. In other words, since I downloaded it, I can't uninstall any apps from my device.
*Makes the phone unstable. Let's the task manager crash and other apps after finally managed to uninstall the app (because that was also a problem that it kept showing errors when trying to uninstall) the problems disappeared.
I did test on a "Note 2" 4.0.2, and experienced the same. Don't know how they did get it off the phone, but uninstalling does not solve the problem...

You can use Android logcat tool to get app crash log. This will help you understand the crashes.
