Hi

I am using your Geolocation Service as per your tutorial.

The map has a map component and a marker component.

1. Your tutorial only has a map component. It seems that your tutorial is outdated?

2. With "Show Marker Off", I can map the Lat/lon to the lat/lon of the map component as per your tutorial and the correct area is displayed but no marker is displayed. This seems fine.

3. With "Show Marker" on, and setting the mapping either to map or marker, the marker is displayed on a blue background. Even if I map to both components I have the same effect.

   What should the mapping be?
   Why am I getting a blue background?

Please note, there is a problem with Google Maps that will be fixed soon. That is why you can face a strange behaviour now. As a workaround you can replace the maps component with a classic maps connecting and work with them without mapping.

No, did not miss that section. And as I said, your tutorial is not up to date with what is actually displayed.

Maybe it is the problem with Google Maps that is causing my problem?

How can I achieve the following.

1. Display my current position on map.
2. Display other markers from database that is within a certain radius from where I am?
3. Click on marker to navigate to it?

What is a "classic maps"?
I need to map my location.

Do you have any other tutorials on the GoogleMap component? I see you can add components to the marker. Where do I find out about that?

1. It does not work for me.... I have folllowed tutorial, however tutorial and actual IDE differ see screenshot. I think your tutorial is outdated. Result, marker is displayed on a blue background.

   

2. I know that. It was not my question. My question was, how do I display only the markers in my immediate surrounding.

   3.I have searched the forum but cant find what I am looking for.

We'll take a look.

After some more investigation I found that it works on the browser but is not accurate. I presume this is because GPS is taken from IP.

It however does not work on the phone. I am using the appery Tester on a Samsung SIII
