Problem displaying accented characters in the app

The data in the db looks good, the REST API test shows the right accents, however, when mapped to label or input in the app, the data gets corrupted. Some screen shots.

This is how it looks in the REST API test:

But this is how it looks in the app. It is the same between the appery tester and actual device.

I believe appery is UTF-8 compliant. So not sure why some of the characters look bad.

Please note that the issue seems to be on iOS (iPhone 5S is the one I checked).

The accents show correct on the same app on Android (Samsung S5).

So there seems to be something missing on the iPhone files.

Hi Packbull,

It seems you use character that not supported but current font-family.

Could you please try to use the same text in the label text statically(in label component properties)?

Regards.

I have the same problem on app and on browser testing.
I don't think it is font problem.
Character 1 was typed into the DB from Chrome on MacOS.
Character 2 was type in a json file (UTF8 encoded on MacOS) and imported into the DB
Character 3 is coming from moment.js (server side lib)

Accented characters
Character 'ì' in phrase 3: "Mercoledì 14 ottobre" is correct where 1 & 2 are not.
As i said, phrase number 3 is derived from moment.js code where the others are from the DB.

1 - char 'è': Il divieto di sosta è in vigore dalle ore ...
2 - char 'ì': Il secondo Mercoledì del mese

Sorry Sergiy, i wasn't clear at all.

The login is a little bit complicated...

insert email (a href="mailto:support@appery.io" rel="nofollow"support@appery.io/a) and "verify code" (support) and press "Verifica codice".

It should work
