Is the website down??

I'm frustrated. I need to build this app ASAP. Is uptime usually such an issue with Appery? I was kicked off for an hour last night and it looks like the same thing is happening now. I like the platform but not enough to to be sporadically kicked off for more than 30 minutes with no planning or even notice of how long the udpate will take

Yeah, it's frustrating that there are no updates. Checked out twitter and no information for 3 days.

Hello!
We are sorry for inconvenience. There should have been a message about upcoming update in editor.
We are going to be up and running soon.

I noticed that the back-end (script server and DB) also went down for about 20 minutes this morning. Is this to be expected when updating editor? I am concerned about going "live" with Appery, if it is taken down with no notice.
Thanks,
-Kal.

So the stie is back up... but now i have no databases! Anyone else experience the same thing? Is Appery always this finicky? Do we need to start looking for other solutions?

Hi Kal,
There should have been a notification. We are sorry for the inconvenience!

It doesn't matter if there was a notification. There's no way we can take our apps live or even get them built on your platform with this much inconsistency in up-time. Is this regular?

Katya, thanks. But, this should be made clear to the Appery Operations folks:
It is OK for the Development environment to be taken down from time to time (with notice) for bug fixes, upgrades whatever. Hopefully, should only be done "off hours", but I do realize you have an international clientele, and "off hours" may be hard to define. I think users are willing to tolerate downtime on the Development side, especially if they can plan around it.
The back-end Script engine, and the DB, should NEVER be taken off-line without notice, and only when totally necessary (and, only during "off hours"). You should publish historical uptime graphs on your site to give people confidence that they can go live with your back-end. If Appery is to be taken seriously as an MBAAS player, this is a golden rule!
Thanks,
-Kal.

As a 2+ Year Appery commercial customer. i can say NO.
It's very rare they are down at all. Notification is normally given before hand.

Thanks Neil! It is good to hear a vote of confidence from a long term customer! It will be really nice if Appery published some uptime graphs to bolster this point.
