I have a db and the barcode scanner is flawlessly querying the info on the screen(Thank you Marina!!) but the search component is not displaying the items. I added the js for displaying a message when no records are found and that does work but it shouldn't be when there is a product match in the db.

When you test the service in Test tab -- were you getting results from the service?

yes and it was a successful test. Oddly the product I am searching for is not in the json but the barcode scanner still picks it up. It even has an id in the collection in the database.

Can you post a screen shot where you test the search service?

Incidentally I even typed the first entry showing in the screenshot: "Altocedro Malbec Ano Cero" and just got the 'Nothing found, but we'll search for you' message that I created.

This display all the entries in the collection. Can you show an example where you search for a particular item?

I'd like to see a screen shot testing the service with 'where' parameter set.

Yes.. but this is the mapping. I want to see that you when you run a test, it works with the query as well.
