How can I speed up the refresh/reload rate on my app?

Hi, I am testing a build of my app, and when it updates the database and reloads/refreshes a page, it seems to display a spinning circle in the center of the page, and a white screen (with the page template) while the page loads. What can I do to improve the refresh rate/speed to improve the UX? Thanks!
