Separate tester role in Appery

Hello Appery,

From my experience it would be nice to have an option to create separate user accounts with "tester role" only.

This role would NOT BE ABLE to make any changes in the app. This option would be only for facilitating app testing phase (especially in case of small dev teams or single developers) since such users could easily install Appery tester from App Store or Google Play, use provided user credentials and perform app testing on his/hers device.

If I were you I would also consider not making this option dependent on the plan, and I also would allow to create freely at least 10 such accounts.

What about using the web test link? That would give you basically a read-only version of the app that you can test.

You right Max. I forgot about this option. Honestly I am not sure if there is any difference betwen the way the app is executed via lik or by Appery tester on iOS or Android. If there is none, this is surely the easiest way to speed up your tests.
Cheers,
Adam

You can use the link if you are building a mobile web app. You can test on a desktop browser as well as on a mobile browser. If your app has any native features, such as camera, then you need to test on the actual device. Probably the simplest option is to send the binary file to the person testing (without sharing the app via Appery.io sharing).

Will binary work in case of iOS? I thought it would only be possible on Android. I am also not sure if you can just send the app, because Android prevents opening apk files from e-mail clients. In my case I had to install Dropbox client on my Android device and then download binary via its shared folders. Another option is to save to SD card but it is certainly more cumbersome.

iOS will also work.. but I think you would need to install it via iTunes.

I was able to email the Android binary to myself and install it that way.

Thanks Max. Perhaps it depends on Android OS version or some specific settings.

Do you have a tester for iOS available from iTunes App store?

If not, is one planned?
