Please can you add a feature to scroll vertically in the content area if the controls take up more space than is available in the 320 x 480 area.

We will work in improving the whole design. For now, you can increase the screen height in Properties.
By the way, mobile screen width and height doesn't appear to be adjustable.
If its not supposed to be adjustable, perhaps those text inputs should be non-editable.
Once you change the size, hit enter while the cursor is still inside the input field. Let me know if that worked.

am trying to create a web application and cant see any scrollbar in the palette.

Are you using the Mobile App Builder or Prototype Builder?
prototype builder
You get it automatically in Mobile App Builder but it's not yet available in Prototype Builder.
