Please answer? Problems when populating the response structure

Hi when following the tutorial: Building Mobile RSS App, When I populate the response structure as in the tutorial I get the following error (incorrect format error)
There is no 'Populate Response Structure button' as in the tutorial I assume its now called 'Automatically create service response'? Do you know somewhere where I can validate the code? I notice this was tried by others with this issue..
