Hi Guys

I have been trying for days to get though the API Express Tutorial. I Have created a Host Buddy account but unfortunately it doesn't quite look the same as the screenshots in your tutorial.

These are the credentials i am using
Host : lcefx8ylb-site.1tempurl.com
Port: 3306
DBName: lcefx8yl_Test
username: lcefx8ylb_Admin (I have given this user full access to DB and also used acount username Icefx8ylb)
password: *********

I Keep getting "Cannot connect to database. Please verify credentials......" error when I test the connection. I have seen the White list section in the tutorial

but unfortunately this isnt covered well. HostBuddy only allows IP addresses not DNS and im not even sure if im putting the addresses in the right place.

I looked up these DNS's on the web and got the following IPs
aex1.appery.io : 52.21.190.50
aex2.appery.io : 52.6.184.169
app5.appery.io : 52.7.79.49
app6.appery.io : 52.6.213.128

Unfortunately I dont know the port number for these IPs and maybe this is the issue. I used the default port 1433 on HostBuddy and have also tried 3306 with no luck. Below is a screen shot of "Outgoing Port" section of hostbuddy.

Please help... I have seen the other get satisfaction post and the user seemed to have worked around the problem themselves by using IPs and Not DNS for external connection but ive had no luck.

I have just checked this issue and can say the site still looks like in the tutorial. Testing the connection went without issues as well.
You might have gone the wrong way in determining your Host. My test case shows this as MYSQL5XX3.HostBuddy.com.
Do re-check this, please and kindly report on the result.
