App Loading image and text

I know this question has been asked before, but I haven't picked up a solid answer as yet.
How can I get rid of the white loading screen? I want a custom image and maybe some text to show on loading the application on all platforms.
I realise that there is an option to choose a loading image for iOS, but there still isn't one for Android adn I really need to get a loading image and/or text for all devices.
