multiple select with a limited number of selectable options

I would like to have a select component with more than 50 option which allow to select more than one option but the max number of selected option showld be the same of a number in my local storage variables.
For example from a list of 50 options i want the user must select 5 different options.
Could you help me to figure out how to achive this ?
