NaN error in phone browser, not on computer

An infowindow opens above a marker on a G-map when you click the marker. The infowindow content is a calculated number.

When testing in the browser on my laptop, this works fine - the infowindow displays the correct value.

However, on my phone, when I click the marker, the infowindow opens, but the text reads "NaN" instead of the value.

Why is this happening? Didn't think there should be any difference between the phone browser and the computer browser?

If you look on w3 schools.com they list which browsers support which functions .... You'll find like I did that Safari and therefore the apple devices don't support everything that say Chrome does....
