I noticed that in my app when I swipe down a transparent shading pulls down.

This only seems to occur when I swipe down on a list, but I cannot tell if it is doing anything more than that. Is there a way that I can add to what it does?

I can see swipe, swipe left and swipe right events, but none for down.
