What does the "fixed width" custom screen attribute within App Builder do?

I can't see any noticeable change in appearance (using test). Searching App Builder docs for "fixed" only revealed "Using a custom image for Ajax status"...

Sorry for asking this dumb beginner question.

It's not used now. This attribute will be deleted from interface.
