Sorting of a list after data load

Hi, if I create a list of pubs from a database with locations, then bring in geolocation for where I am with my phone and calculate the distance to the pubs can I then sort the list of pubs based on the distance?

I know I'm missing something, but I'm that far down the rabbit hole, I just can't figure it out.
