Do you know of a plugin for building a universal salesforce.com app? One that does not require a connected app with a consumer key.
I was starting to build an app to display opportunities, but realized that it will only work on my own Org because I have to create a Connected App in order to log in.
Is there another way to authenticate to SFDC so that you don't need to have a Connected App with a Consumer Key?

After reading more on the topic of connected apps, I believe Salesforce.com already accounts for what I need because they allow you to add a connected app into a package, which you can distribute to your customers.
