I am in the process of building the same type of app as the person in this forum:

I'm also having the same problem where I'd like to show the user's name on their post. I have read through this forum countless times and many others as well but I just can't seem to wrap my head around it.

Can someone please give me step-by-step directions on what I need to do to achieve this? So far all I have is a column in my posts database set as a pointer and I have it pointing to the users database. I'm completely lost after that.

I'm just confused because the screenshots that they have posted for their solution seem to be in the old appery layout and I'm having trouble figuring out what goes where.

Can someone please give me a little guidance on this? Thanks.
