Why is this not a feature?
Phone gap deals with it, why is this only implemented for IOS?
pls provide a technical answer, I was not satisfied by the old answers provided on work around.

Hello! Unfortunately I'm not aware if it's a planned feature (I'll try to find out and update this post). Also not sure what old answers you mean, but for now there are two ways:

Thanks for the reply, but that url is about placing a background image not the same as the splash screen.
I also know of the phonegap feature and was hoping that would be exposed via Appery. One of the values of this tool is to not having to do your own builds.

We have this feature on our todo list for end of summer. We will most likely base it on the PhoneGap feature.
