Project Sharing and consolidation - will changing shared account lose data?

I hired someone to code with me and they started a new account with their name and password. My intention was for them to code from the invite I gave them to a project already started on the account shown under my email and password which is where I sent the invite from. I have access to their code base but I want to move all the code from that 'other' account to the core account. When the project is over we are to retain the code base. Even though they "shared" that project back to me what will happen when I close that user from the account and add others? Should it be moved. If so how? I am afraid if I discontinue that developer when the project is over, I will lose the code base when that project is finished. I am happy with the developer but just want to consolidate our projects into one place and make sure I invite others and control the process a little better. How should I proceed?

Hi,

Not sure I understand. Did you read this?
http://docs.appery.io/documentation/s...
You can simply share an only app with your developers, then every change will be saved.

Here is what happened. I set up an account. Started a project. I invited a programer to help on that project. But somehow, he misunderstood (we both are new to this system) and started his own folder which needs his log in name and password to access. The project had the same name. BUT I could not, did not, see any progress in my account, in my folder for this project. So I kept thinking nothing was happening. Once we spent time showing each other screen shots cleary something was wrong. It was then we realized he had set up a whole other account and folder which would not appear in my folder (of the same name). So I know this is confusing...I sure was confusing to us. So now we have two accounts and want them to be on one. Let's say my account is O for Owner and his is P for programer. P has a folder with code and is accessed by P's email and password. That is where the development has occurred. I now have P's password and can watch but want all the code under P to be moved or attached to O so that O can add other programers or change programers for P's folders code base. And I am afraid if I delete P from my account I will lose code. Is that explanation any help?

Bottom line - want P folder to be in O account. And want to be sure this does not happen again. UNLESS I am worried about nothing and both accounts and folders are controlled by O since O invited P to join appery.io - yet his work is not visible on O's login. Only if O logs into P's account with P's name and password.

Wheeww that seems more complicated than it needs to be but there you have it.

  1. The developer can save project backup and send it to you.

    1. Then you can ave the backup of existing app.

    2. You both delete your apps.

    3. As an owner, you can restore dev's app from backup and share it (see the link above).

If you use paid accounts there is no need to delete apps, you can rename copies and leave them.
