I am hoping for two applications to be able to use a single Appery database collection, and in that regard looking to create multiple log-in services pertaining to these applications, associated with a single database.
Is this possible, and could you suggest how to proceed?

Just create one DB and connect different Appery.io projects to it.

This is good information and is helpful.
Since there is overlap between two apps, I will be importing the code for second project from the first. However, I want to sandbox and completely separate authorized users for the two projects. Would deleting login services from second project after import from first and then re-creating these, create a separate user database for second project?

Yes, you may create a new login service, you also may change the parameters of an existing service:
