Is there an example to scan an image(ID, Passport, Driver License, etc) from scanner (not web cam) that is connected to local network and than upload that image to database? I prefer HTML5 front end GUI.

Scanner can be connected to local desktop via usb. Other option is connect withj multi office machine on the same network that has scanner capability. In this case user should be able to run the app via tablet, smartphone, etc. and use wired or wireless scanner.

Primarily, I foresee this app run from desktop with HTML 5 browser and secondary user would be tablet or iPad user.

Unfortunately we don't have such example. Most likely you would need to search and use appropriate phonegap plugin for this goal.

However, there is an example of grabbing image from web cam or device cam correct, i.e. tablet cam, smart phone cam etc?
