Domain hosted app not working with mobile Safari/iOS

Resolved

It was because private browsing was enabled (by default?).
Disabling private browsing fixed the problem.

Domain hosted app not working with mobile Safari/iOS

I've just found out it works on apple devices that use the chrome browser. Must be something wrong with the app and safari.

Domain hosted app not working with mobile Safari/iOS

I have my app hosted through my own domain straight from appery. It works in my chrome desktop, and chrome mobile browser on Android, as well as friends android devices. The problem arises when the user clicks a button that invokes a service and sets some local variables. So far it has failed on iPh...

Thank you very much Bruce. I reformatted my quotes similar to yours. Here is the code that works.

Server code query

I'm not sure how to 'or' criteria when adding parameters to a query within servercode. I have attached a snippet. Is it correct? I get no errors, and an empty array when there should be data. Image

Best way to filter collection queries

So just to follow up, I created the correct response via server code. I had to put my collapsible blocks in a grid, now everything appears to work just fine. Here you can see a test response https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1165247/testresponse_inline.PNG?1425244689 Here is the succes...

Best way to filter collection queries

Thanks for the info Yurii, I read all the documentation on server code on the appery website. Your previous example however is a bit confusing to me. My database is set up like the following https://d2r1vs3d9006ap.cloudfront.net/s3_images/1164347/dbpic_inline.PNG?1425068670 As you can see a single '...

Best way to filter collection queries

So just to confirm Yurii, I need to use a generic security context and implement server code? I created a generic security context and went into the settings for my query service and selected the security context I created for the Security context field. However I haven't worked with security contex...

How to select list items made by database

Thanks. I couldn't figure out how to get the value from the hidden label so I just binded the _id straight to the value of the checkbox via mapping and used $(this).val() to get it properly.

Best way to filter collection queries

Thanks I wish there was more documentation explaining multilevel responses. Is it true that adding an array column to a collection will enable a multilevel response as described here https://getsatisfaction.com/apperyio/... However I don't think this array method will work with my setup without a co...

How to select list items made by database

So in order to get the complete functionality I want, I have made my list component into a checkbox component. It functions the same way as before but also has the selectable function that I need. I want to select entries that I want to delete ( have them be checked) and then press a delete button t...

How to select list items made by database

I got the basics down. I was going wrong when I wasn't binding variables to components. So I have a simple "click on list item item is deleted" functionality. Now what I want is to have the ability to select multiple items that I want deleted and invoke the delete service once to delete al...

How to select list items made by database

Thanks for the pointers. I understand the "Building a clickable list app with HTML5 local storage" tutorial, but that is for a static list. How could I modify that tutorial for a list that is dynamic (with a variable length and values)? The tutorial uses a tagID, and each entry has a tag p...

How to select list items made by database

Quick question, but how does one click a database populated list item and have it perform an action? For example if I made a list and looped the database entry array onto it (as commonly done in tutorial videos), and I want to delete an item from that list/database right from the app by simply click...

Best way to filter collection queries

I can probably get it to work by somehow mapping the $ to the other collapsible blocks and then using ' value.LocationID ' in the javascript to make a conditional test. But not sure if that would work.

Best way to filter collection queries

Hi, I currently have a collection with 'deals', and each deal includes the properties, Date and LocationID. I have a page with a date picker that picks a date and invokes the query. I use a where clause (via javascript in the where return value in the mapping) to get only the 'deals' with the correc...

Android Home Screen Widgets

So I know that android home screen widgets can't be created within appery. But is it still possible to create one separately using different software and still be able to implement it within appery (just in the export)? Or is the only solution to have a widget for your app be to export the appery pr...

Collapsible Set to Stay Open

Any ideas on how to get the items in a collapsible set to stay 'opened' when another item in the set is selected? I've looked into the jquery mobile documentation on collapsible sets and it didn't provide any insight.
