Fast scrolling on iOS

Hi Adam,

On what device do you test this? Could you please tell in detail how you need it to work?

Fast scrolling on iOS

Hi Katya,

For testing I use iPhone 4s and iPhone 5s. As you can read from the links I have posted the default browser scroling on Apple device is different from native scrolling. You can open basically any native app on Apple device and try scrolling it with your finger (Apple Mail client might be a good example, I am pretty sure you have got a lot of mails to scroll through :-). You will see the screen starts to move fast and decelerates slowly. As a result you can scroll through many items with just one swipe. Then try do the same in Safari. You will see that it scrolls one screen per swipe at best. So you have to swipe the screen frequently, It is much less convenient in case of apps that list many items as mine.
Again. Good news is that it can be turned off somehow, so scroling becomes fast and responsive. I would like it to hapen in my app.
I also test my app on Android device. Suprisingly, scrolling is much faster and more "native".

Katya, are my goals clear or you need more details?

Adam,

Yes, I understand. Browser and tester won't work so 'native' as installed apk/ipa file. Did you try installing your application on device as ipa/apk?

Fast scrolling on iOS

Katya,
I have installed my app only as apk on Android, but in this case it is irrelevant since we are dealing with iOS issue. I will try to install my app via iTunes but it will take some time. I will get back and post an update if it solved the issue.
