Autodivider not grouping when list feed by rest service

I was experimenting with turning on autodivider in list and I see that it is not grouping by first letter. See screenshot

Hello! It's a standard behavior. If you want it to be grouped by first letter you need to sort elements (it should be coded by you).

Guess I've always had the data sorted alphabetically already in the past Thought it was automatic. I'm experimenting with your backend service Collections and haven't tried to figure out how to sort them yet.
