youtube component disappeared after update to libraries 3.1

Hello,

After updating my libraries in my project from 2 something to 3.1, my youtube component is not working when I install in android.
Youtube video component still works normally in appery tester, also in web preview, and also when I publish the app through appery interface - http://gospeltoolsthailand.app.appery...

(I have not installed in iOS to test this issue).

I have not made any other changes to the app.

I assumed it was a permissions issue. So, i tried just returning to the default android permissions. i installed on android again, and same result. Youtube video does not appear on screen.

So, at this point, I don't know what else to try.

I very much appreciate your help.

The app is shared with support - "Gospel Tools Thailand."

youtube component disappeared after update to libraries 3.1

Hi Evgene,

Thanks for your reply!

There was a small change made - only to the file paths for my custom fonts and PDFs. The file structure was changed from Appery 2.2. to 3.1, and so Appery system did not automatically migrate my custom files into the new correct path. I migrated fonts and PDFs to the correct path.

That is the only change that has been done on source tab since the move to 3.1.

Thanks again for your assistance,
Matt

After you reply, I went in and tried the "undo all source changes" on the web resources tab. Then reinstalled on android. But with no success.

Thanks again.

youtube component disappeared after update to libraries 3.1

Hello Matt,

Pease check if there are any errors in the Weinre console. You can learn here: https://devcenter.appery.io/documenta... how to open the console.

What Android version do you use for the testing?

youtube component disappeared after update to libraries 3.1

Hi Sergiy,

Thanks for your reply. I've been away from the computer for a while during travel.

Unfortunately, I have no idea what Weinre might tell me. I opened up the Weinre console as in the documentation. It did no show any errors on the errors tab. But, the documentation is very limited on this topic. I followed what what there, but again, there wasn't much information there. So, I don't know if there is more to check or not.

Installed on Android 5.1.1. Again, it works normaly on appery tester, browser, etc. Only when installed on android it doesn't work.

Still very confused on how the simple move from libraries 2.2 to 3.1 could affect the youtube component. Don't know what else to try.

Thanks so much for your help.

youtube component disappeared after update to libraries 3.1

I have tried everything I can think of.

I went back and restored the version of the app before upgrading libraries. Went through the whole process again.

  1. Apply libraries changes from 2.2 to 3.1.

  2. Moved my custom fonts and PDFs because of the file structure change in cordova 4.1. ( from the previous structure of web resources/views/assets etc. to the root folder)

  3. undo all source changes on all directories.

  4. reset android permissions to default.

Result: Youtube component works on tester, browser, but NOT android install.

Then, I tried a wild idea... doing absolutely nothing else other than changing libraries from 2.2 to 3.1...

  5. I loaded my perfectly working app in appery.

  6. change libraries to 3.1

  7. build apk and install.

Result: Same. Youtube doesn't work on android install.

I am going to depend on you guys for this one. Upgrading libraries should not cause a core component of appery's platform to break. I am completely out of ideas.

Thanks so much for your assistance. I really appreciate it!

youtube component disappeared after update to libraries 3.1

Hello Matt,

I just checked a component youtube on the simple test application: blank page with an only one youtube component - it works fine on Android 4.3.

Could you create the same sample application?
