change datatype on already created column?

Evgene, this is exactly what I need, but am not sure how to implement it. Before I found this thread, I posted my problem here:https://getsatisfaction.com/apperyio/...

I'm starting with the Excel location column Christian shows above in column M. Is the first step to save the sheet as a JSON file? Will that have the column in a format that can be imported and used directly, or is some type of editing needed? When it's imported to Appery, does something else need to be done?

Thanks.

UPDATE: Evgene, I've moved my data to be hosted directly by Mongo and created the field through them.

Robert, we've changed and updated our documentation recently as you can see.
Here is a link that mentioned: https://devcenter.appery.io/documenta...

change datatype on already created column?

Illya, just to confirm: this information pertains only to Appery's (Mongo) data base and NOT to developers' own mongo data bases that the developers want to access via Appery's normal REST support- correct? To do that, developers need to use something like MongoLab's own REST api or DreamFactory - correct?
