I tried to use the new component in builder - sliding Panel. I have added it to one of the pages in my app but unfortunately but I do not see it neither in the Appery tester nor in the iOS tester (I can see it it only in the Appery builder). I am missing something simple about it?
Also I tried to follow the link here: http://docs.appery.io/documentation/u... at the end of the Panel component description but all i get is the "Page not found error".

Are you able to see it in the browser when you test? Did you also add an event to open the Panel?

In the browser, when testing, there is no indication that the panel exists. I've not tried it on a phone. Also, I don't see any documentation on an event to open it. What would fire that event? A button at the top of the page could, but it would be "in the way" so to speak.
I think a nice thing to open it would be some icon on the header. Could be a button in the nav bar, but with this panel I was planning to do away with the nav bar, using the panel for my menu.
Another wish would be the ability to make the panel a custom component.
I must say I was absolutely delighted to see this addition. I just started using Appery a week or so ago to build my first app, and it was one thing I was sorely disappointed to not find. Thanks for the update!
No, I don't see it.
I was expecting to see the same handle which I see in builder:
Unfortunately I don't see any, neither in the web tester nor on the phone.
When I use "open panel" event the panel shows up but it immediately covers the whole page, so not really how would you expect it to work.

We've tested and it's working as expected.
Please tell us exact steps to reproduce and device with OS version. Also post screen shots of what you get.
Note: I have jumped in on this topic because I went to the forum to post the same question that Adam did, and saw he already had, just minutes earlier. Rather than re-asking in a new topic, I figured this was better.
Perhaps answering this question would help us: Is there any way to open the panel other than putting a button on the page, and adding the Open Panel action as a Click event for that button (or add Open Panel as an action for some other event)?
Like Adam, I expected to see a tab on the outside edge of the Panel, like is in the Visual Builder, when testing the app.
To reproduce it, just add a Sliding Panel to any page, then Test the app.

If you intentionally did not put a tab on the panel in the actual app, then please consider this a feature request, to have it there, and, possibly, make it optional (a "Show Tab" check box in the Panel settings).

I totally agree with Fred. It is exactly what I would expect.
Putting button on the page to open panel is of course possible but not optimal for user experience.
I did get the Panel to work with a Long Tap event, and it works in a windows phone preview with I-os7 theme. both swipe and longtap without events I tried it with the default and it didnt work.
On my Windows Phone swiping right it opens and touching on far right closes
Are you looking for a swipe-like even to open/close the panel?
