Header overlap with iPhone status bar as shown in screen shot

It's less then ideal to have to make additional edits in xCode.

Hello,

I am still having this issue (April 2016). Can you please give guidance on how to have the ios status bar visible and not overlapping with the header? I played with the UIStatusBarHidden and UIViewControllerBasedStatusBarAppearance keys, but no result. I don't really care about pre-ios7.
