Object has no method 'attr'

I tested the app today and received an error.

Object [object Object] has no method 'attr' - tiggzi.js:867

and it's pointing to this line:
if(Tiggzi(val).attr('data-role') == "controlgroup")

Tiggzi(val) is a carousel component inside my app. Would like to know if this is a bug brought by the new tiggzi?
