Is there a way to use twitter bootstrap to style the app? I am looking to modernize the interface similar to the standard holo theme for Android.

BootStrap / Holo Theme
You could create a custom jQuery Mobile theme via ThemeRoller (http://jquerymobile.com/themeroller/i...) that would look like Bootstrap/Holo theme.
