Cannot see local db on native device after going through the database tutorial

I went through the "Building a Mobile App with Appery.io Database and Local SQLite Database" tutorial however I am not seeing the database on the native device.

Is there a reason why I am not see the created database? I have looked in the data folder on my device however I am not seeing any database after I invoke the service. I see console creating a log from the generic service that ran. Can someone help me with this issue?

I apologize in advance if this question is naive as I am a newbie to this and need some assistance.

Yes, I tested the app as native. I launched the application from Eclipse on the Lenovo Android tablet. I looked in the file explorer within Eclipse and tried to expand the data directory however there was no data in folder from what I could tell.
