I am trying to follow your "Using native device features (PhoneGap)" document.

It says "To test the plugin, you need to run your application on the device. Use the “Export” feature of the Appery.io builder to create a package for the platform you need."

Does that mean I cannot use the Appery.io Mobile Tester App to test an SMS-send plugin?

Yes, PhoneGap plug-ins can be tested on native app only and won't work in tester or on browser test.
